We are RAW, ENGAGING, AUTHENTIC and LOCAL in providing a cultural experience of Rio 2016.
There is a large gap in Olympic media coverage. Official broadcasters tend to narrowly focus on sports and athlete stories. Traditional newscasts tend to focus on Olympic stories of economic and infrastructure targets not being met.
Real Rio lives in the space between traditional Olympic coverage, world news, tourism videos and documentary film; engaging viewers and offering valuable cultural lessons about the city of the moment.
We want people to know more about global events and understand communities impacted by the larger Olympic movement. And share that knowledge in an accessible, viewer-friendly way.
